Distance Learning at Oglala Lakota College
Contents |
Oglala Lakota College utilizes Distance Learning or Online Content Management tools to assist many of the courses in our catalog. We strive to provide a comprehensive experience by presenting to our students a range of course delivery systems. These delivery systems range from traditional brick and mortar classes, to a blend of Face2Face and online assisted coursework, to a total online educational experience.
Oglala Lakota College is currently studying the idea creating a Center for Online/Distance Learning to coordinate and deliver online courses and degrees.
The MIS 113 Applied Information Processing course of the IT Department is a valuable precursor for student exploration of Distance Learning.
This course will give the student basic knowledge and skills of electronic information literacy. The skills presented in this class are beneficial to solve problems related to computer usage in an academic setting. We include scenarios and challenges common in Distance Learning courses.
